Welcome to my website. If you are feeling so depressed that you don't want to get out of bed in the morning or so anxious that you can't focus on work, school, relationships or anything; if your adolescent child is out of control; if your marriage or domestic partnership seems to be crumbling; and, most important, you feel helpless to change anything, than seeking counseling with a professional makes a lot of sense. I have dealt with these challenges for many years and in many settings.

Change does not have to be painful. When dealing with serious life issues, you can "enjoy the process." This means not only the process of counseling but also the process of life. You can learn how to confront and resolve those problems and to feel good about the changes you are making in your life.

The information offered in these links is meant to provide guidelines rather than solutions to specific life problems. Sometimes all that is necessary to reduce stress or to work through a problem is to think about it in a different way...and this is what I hope to accomplish.

Of course, not everything can be resolved by reading alone, or something you read may make you decide that you would like to speak to a counselor.
